Escape from it all at Brookhaven Resort on the beautiful sapphire blue Big Glen Lake! One of five cottages with shared access to 150' of water frontage, tennis court, basketball court, and row boats. Gather around the shared fire pit for s'mores and sunsets overlooking Alligator Hill in the Sleeping Bear Dunes area. Screened-in porch too. 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. 1 level, faces West, at the end of a quiet street. Sleeps 4.
Tennis court, pickle ball and volleyball.
1 queen and 2 twins. Full kitchen (no dishwasher), charcoal grill, and picnic table. WIFI. No TV, no phone, no worries at this peaceful location only minutes to the village of Glen Arbor.
Quick drives to the Sleeping Bear Dunes, shopping, dining, kayaking, hiking, and more. Big Glen Lake is great for kids. Crystal clean water and no severe drop-offs. Boating, fishing, and swimming--enjoy them all!

Once again, Bookhaven delivers a memorable vacation experience for our family! We've been coming back to Brookhaven 2 with our family for about 13 years and it's always been delightful. The kids enjoy time on boats on both lakes, we love our morning lakeside coffee and evening sunset drinks by the shore... Add a cozy campfire, star-gazing and the soft sound of the waves at night. A great location and a perfect base for adventures around the area, too!We appreciated the well-kept condition of the cottage-- stocked with plates, flatware and supplies as described. Towels were fresh, bathrooms spotless, fridge and kitchen clean as well-- and ice was made! All appliances functioned well-- including the newer gas range and the heating unit (we did have one chilly night, appreciated the extra blankets too!). A lamp in the twin bedroom didn't light-- so maybe needs repair?-- but that's all that seemed amiss.We'll be back!

We had a wonderful week @ Brookhaven. The place was very clean & the owners were extremally friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable (no morning backache). As for the location it's perfect.If you are planning on staying, cottage 5 is the largest but cottage 2 has a screened in porch with a wonderful view of the lake.

This was my 2nd stay at Brookhaven and I enjoyed it just as much as the first! Visit Up North continues to provide excellent customer service too! Before my arrival, the Team verified that I received my access information and encouraged me to reach out with any questions or concerns. I did have one small maintenance issue: A corner of the screen on my porch came out. The Team ensured that it was quickly and correctly repaired. (That made my day because I was enjoying using the porch!).The cabin itself is 'no frills' but it is clean, comfortable and well-maintained. The photos are accurate and the location is convenient for exploring Sleeping Bear Dunes, Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive, the shops and restaurants in Glen Arbor and so much more. Big Glen Lake is crystal clear and the private lake shore is just the right depth for all ages to enjoy. One note: on the private portion of the shore, the floor of the lake is a bit rocky. It doesn't bother me but some people might prefer to wear water shoes.Brookhaven is a great place to share time with family and friends. It is close enough to explore new things yet far enough to avoid traffic and crowds while bonding with your peeps.

So appreciate this lovely space-- glad we discovered it years ago. Our family has been coming here over a decade-- a great growing-up experience for our kids! Each remembers their first kayaking trips, paddling into Brooks Lake to see the herons, otters, and turtles, the bonfires, making s'mores and chatting with other families, the stars-- and Northern Lights over the lake at night. We love all there is for us to do and what a lovely place to just not do anything this is. The upgrades are appreciated too!

The hosts were very helpful in recommending places to visit. We were the first guest of the summer and had to listen to construction equipment beeping for a day and half. Cabin is very rustic with no real updates in years. Beds were comfortable. Great access to Lake Glenn.

My husband and I recently stayed in one of the cabins on Brookhaven and were super impressed with it. Everything was clean when we arrived and the cabin had everything we needed to make some really nice meals. We didn't have to haul our kayaks with us and enjoyed fishing and exploring and fishing on the water with some kayaks available to everyone. Will definitely be back next summer and would come back again this year if the space were available :)

Always love a visit to this place! Quiet, beautiful and relaxing. Our family comes every year for the past decade. The cottage is comfy and CLEAN, the new heater kept us cozy on the chilly night (and we appreciated the text reminding us how to use it!) the lake was warm and clear, the campfires were safe and socially distanced, and our visit was safe and wonderful! We’re already booked again for next year!

Great time, except cottage 1 had car with trailer attached all week couldn’t see lake from cottage, and extra parking space. Had to go buy bakeware, and door knob wasn’t on bathroom door when arrived. Other than that fantastic week and will be back for 4th next summer.

We have stayed at Brookhaven three times and love it! It is located on an absolutely beautiful and peaceful stretch of Glen Lake. The cabins are simple - consisting of two small bedrooms, a bathroom, a small sitting room and small kitchen. For us, everything we need. I love the simplicity and would not want any more. If you want some luxury Brookhaven is not for you. However, if you want a simple cabin on a beautiful property then Brookhaven is perfect.

The cottage was better than we imagined. The view was perfect, the screen porch a bonus, and all the amenities we needed for a relaxing escape. We were fortunate to meet the proprietors while we were there...they were so lovely and accommodating.We struck a perfect balance of sightseeing (Sleeping Bear Dunes, Leland, kayaking the Crystal River), and just relaxing at Brookhaven.Definitely would recommend and put on our return list!

Our families have been renting Brookhaven cottages on the East side of Big Glen Lake since 1995. We just returned from our latest 2 week adventure incredibly happy and excited to return next year. We biked the heritage trail going both north to Port Oneida or south to Empire, exhilarated by the effort and amazed at the natural wonders of the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore-our favorite place on earth! We swam and boated in the turquoise waters of Big Glen, grilled dinners by the cabins, enjoyed campfires and shooting stars. The weather was fabulous, the time with family and friends even better. Truly this is our Happy Place!

The lake is a beautiful Popcicle blue with channels leading to other lakes. the sky is filled with stars at night. met the owners & they are the kindest souls you'd ever meet. Our kids love this spot-- we try to come every year. Even though the weather wasn't overly cooperative this year, the property was as enjoyable as ever. The owners have added some new kayaks, and both rowboats were usable-- a great benefit for exploring. This is old-style cabin-on-the-lake stuff: clean, comfortable,quiet, peaceful and very laid-back.

The cabins are very spacious compared to what yould initially think. Clean, have all the basics you need, nothing fancy but really adequate. The water is so clean, we had campfires every night with other renters, owner provided firewood really enjoyed that. It's close to many things, the dunes, Glen Arbor village, even Fishtown is not that far, will definitely return, love it.

The location was excellent and Glen Lake was beautiful. The cabin was in good condition and clean. The one thing that was sub-par was the size of the shower. It was very small and tight even though we are of average size. This shower would have been difficult to use for a large person. Overall we had a great experience and would consider staying there again.

Great, quiet location off main road. Kids enjoyed tennis and basketball courts and all the boats! Cottage nicely appointed w/comfy beds and all the amenities. A note in the cabin said we should "review the Brookhaven binder", but we couldn't find one? As it was rainy during most of our stay, it would help to have the location of the nearest landromat to dry clothes and towels. We loved having all the small boats:2 kayaks(one paddle was broken,though) canoe, rowboat, available to explore both Glen and Brooks lake, which is loaded with wildlife! Loved the new raft! Glen Lake shallow and rocky til the end of the dock, (need H2O shoes), then gets deep fast. It was warm and lovely for swimming. We had been cautioned about swimmers itch, but we swam in the deep water and had no trouble. Enjoyed the campfire every night. Watched the spectacular lighting over Alligator Hill on two stormy nights--wow!We'll be back again!

Did not encounter any need to contact owner or property management. Will definitely rent again. Only complaint is that shower curtain was moldy and should be washed or replaced prior to new renter coming in. Did not want to leave!!

We went Up North in June and ended up having a rainy cold week. But the property itself is gorgeous. It's ideal for families. The kids played in the beach and shallow water of Glen Lake whenever they had the chance. The cabins are small but provide all the essentials. It's not the place to go if you want to feel pampered (we don't). We will definitely return.
